(reviewed on 09 September)

As a main goal the student session aims to:

_ create a fruitful atmosphere for linking students, researchers and experts through a range of activities that enable discussion, learning and knowledge interaction of the various aspects associated with sustainable buildings.

For accomplishing this goal the session proposes the following specific objectives:

1_ To promote the connection of participants from different fields and parts of the world for building future relations and ensure knowledge sharing towards sustainable buildings;

2_ To provide an environment where students can have a closer contact with professors and senior experts for having an open dialogue and information exchange;

3_ To offer students a holistic view of various topics related to sustainable buildings in different realities (e.g. developed and developing countries);

4_ To stimulate the formulation of agendas and action plans for guiding new researches and upcoming student session events;

5_ To give room for participants to present their own ideas and discuss the current and future practice on sustainable buildings;

6_ To enable participants to experience examples of buildings situated around Tokyo as well as to illustrate traditional Japanese architecture systems and concepts.

The student session will also provide a student statement in the end of the event, reflecting  the opinions and ideas of participants expressed during the activities. Please see the "Student Statement" page for more information.
