Aim

This gInternational-Comparison Plenary Sessionh is the first studentfs activity to be performed in the Student Session.

Students from different backgrounds will show examples of sustainability of their own@countries having an open discussion moderated by renown architects/engineers specialized on housing and urban topics.


Theme

gSUSTAINABLE BUILDING IN MY COUNTRYh
In this plenary session, we would like to invite you to present

your own research on sustainability and/or examples of sustainable projects

based on your own culture, techniques, vernacular design solutions, old or new structures in order to illustrate how the sustainability is part of the architecture from the old times to nowadays in your country, from the traditional houses to contemporary urban regeneration.

ORAL PRESENTATION

DETAILS
We will select 10 presentations (10-15 minutes each) for the plenary session. At the end of the session we will have a gpanel discussionh integrated by questions, answers and comments of the visiting professors, listeners and presenters.

Please send abstracts of your presentation (500 words minimum)

The selected students will be informed by e-mail, be asked to develop a final presentation in Power Point and submit it on Sept. the 23rd.

A booklet draft (your own research and/or a sustainable project example of your country) should contain up to 8 (6 recommended) original good quality pictures (taken/generated by yourself) and/or computer images, graphics, charts to illustrate your research. The draft should be a ISO B5 format (182mmX257mm) using the FULL PAGE, vertical format (portrait),

where must be appear only the images and in three KEY-WORDS definition title of the project (please use the font ARIAL size 19) and 3/4 rows (up to 50 words) of explanation of the project concept in font ARIAL size 10 (as in the samples below). The page design is free and must be submit in Power Point or JPG file format.

In a separate page (PPT) please write a 500-word explanation and the general data of the project following the format below.

Please note that we may make minor changes on your draft during the editing work.
